You need:

• 4mm + 2.5mm hook
• optional: 6-7mm hook (to even out tension)
• cotton yarn with yardage 50g=115m (I used 600g for size L)
• elastic thread (optional but recommended)
• crochet essentials (stitch markers, measuring tape, darning needle)

This piece took me around 35 hours to make. 

You will have to do some basic calculations to get your measurements.
